I give you detailed overall and page notes on your script, then follow up with a 60-minute call to discuss the notes. Revised draft notes available at a reduced rate, depending on the extent of revisions. I work on dramas (one-hour), comedies (half-hour), and features. I can also give you notes on a spec episode for a fellowship application.
Anna Henry began her career as a development executive at Nickelodeon before crossing over to prime-time television at CBS and ABC in drama development and programming. After freelancing as a creative consultant to production companies, she served as Director of Development at a boutique literary management and production company representing writers and directors. Anna is currently an independent producer through her company, Idle Hour Entertainment, which develops television projects focusing largely on international and diversity (women, BIPOC, LGBTQ+) writers and stories. In addition, Anna is a sought-after script consultant and screenwriting instructor. As a manager and consultant, her clients have worked on shows and set up projects at virtually every broadcast, cable and streaming television network. Anna teaches writing for television at Stage 32, Loyola University Chicago, and UCLA Extension. She is a graduate of USC’s School of Cinematic Arts.

Pitch notes & Pitch Rehearsal
Pitch notes: I give you detailed notes on your pitch document or treatment, including concept, pilot summary, characters, season arcs, themes, etc. Then follow up with a call to discuss the notes. PLUS, I will email you the pitch template agencies, studios and networks use, but most beginner writers don’t know about.
Pitch Rehearsal: Ready to pitch but not quite ready to face executives in a room? You need a pitch rehearsal! I am your “friendly audience!” Give me your 15-20 minute pitch and I will give you detailed feedback on both content and delivery. You only get one shot at this – shouldn’t you invest in making it count?
Workshops
Have a writers’ group? I will come to you (in person or via teleconference) and teach a class. You pick the topics, which can include insider information about the business, the secrets to a successful pitch, tips on writing a spec pilot, and answers to your specific questions. Individual pitch sessions can be added.
